Meredith's musical affiliations include The Mighty Voices of Tabernacle and Michael Mindingall's Communion & Intercession. She has been indirectly affiliated with The Whitfield Company since 1977. Her Mother is Phyllis Lyons where they both are now members of the Soprano section. Meredith loved her “Uncle Tommy” and couldn’t find a better way to honor his memory than to join The Whitfield Company.
Beverly Allen Davis

Beverly is one of the lead soloists of “ The Company ”. She has participated in several musical projects providing background vocals such as Vanessa Bell Armstrong’s “Peace Be Still” and has worked with gospel artists the likes of The Craig Brothers, Tramaine Hawkins, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Jennifer Holiday and Earth Wind and Fire. Beverly has traveled to Africa where she had the opportunity to display her vocal talents for then President Kenyetta. While there she attended Kenya’s Teachers College studying vocal music, dance and Geology. She also attended the Wayne State Conservatory of Music, and has received her Medical Assistance license. Beverly is married to ‘ the love of her life “ Joseph.

Cecil has been the Choir Director at Elyton Baptist Church for 38 years. He is a memebr of the Detroit Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America. He is a former member of the Donald Vails Choraleers, Psalms of Praise and the Allen Duane Grant Celestial Chorale. Cecil is a Board member of The Whitfield Company where he serves as Treasurer. He also is a Trustee at Elyton Baptist Church. Cecil is a graduate of Detroit’s Cass Technical High School and attended the Detroit College of Business, Wayne State University and Ferris State College. Cecil has worked for Comerica Bank in Detroit Michigan for 24 years where he is a Senior Lending Assistant.

Jo Ann is a well known soloist in the city of Detroit and also with "The Company". Her annointed distinctive Alto voice can be heard on such tunes as “ I’m Going Through”, “If Jesus Goes With Me I’ll Go” and “Never Alone”. If JoAnn sings a tune you’re definitely “ Going To Church” Jo Ann is a Medical Technologist with St. John's Hospital. She is also a Mortician and Funeral Director for Barksdale Funeral Home. She assists others in grief counseling and is often a speaker or soloist for various churches. Jo loves to shop. She has one Son, Edward and has recently extended her family by adopting the children of her Sister who passed away last year.
Juliette L. Cooper

Juliette’s musical affiliations have included recording with such artists as Yolanda Adams, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, and Orlando Wright just to name a few. She has also lent her voice to background vocals for Patti LaBelle, Michael Bolton, Earth, Wind & fire and Aretha Franklin. Juliette possesses a very powerful and rich Alto voice. Juliette currently serves as the Minister of Music for Triumph Baptist Church, which is one of the fastest growing churches in the Metro Detroit Area. Juliette also serves as the Business Manager for The Whitfield Company.
Jerome Jackson

Jerome is a talented singer, song arranger and musician. His musical affiliations include the following: The Pershing High School Concert Choir and Ensemble, Macomb County Community College Concert Choir, The University of Detroit Concert and Gospel Choirs, God’s Echoes, and The Donald Vails Choraleers. Jerome is a graduate of Detroit’s Pershing High School. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership and a Master’s Degree in School Administration all from The University of Detroit-Mercy. In addition to teaching Elementary and Middle School he has held the position of Department Head of the Math and Science Department. Jerome has been the Organist for The Southwestern Church of God, New Prospect Baptist Church and Messiah Baptist Church of Detroit, Minister of Music at The Ypsilanti Church of God, Church of Our Father Baptist and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Jerome currently serves as Minister of Music at Amity Baptist Church in Inkster Michigan.
Julius Jefferson

Julius’ rich Baritone/Bass voice is a major force behind that “Whitfield” sound. He has served at many Detroit churches in their music departments over the years lending his talents as Director. He currently is Senior Musical Director at Greater Grace Temple of Detroit under the Pastorage of Bishop Charles Ellis. He is a graduate of Detroit’s Henry Ford High school and attended Marygrove and Wayne State Universities in Detroit. Julius recently retired after 40 years in the healthcare field at Beaumont/Henry Ford and Providence hospitals and the Hospice of Michigan. Julius is married to former Company member Lady Diana Jefferson and is the Father of two Daughters, Jessica and Rebecca. A very spiritual man, Julius serves as an Elder and Minister for the Company.
Jacqueline Williams

Jackie began her musical affiliations at the age of 11 singing in the youth choir at Wisconsin Church f God. She later became the Directress and Minister of Music. Jackie has also served as Directress for several Metropolitan Detroit Churches. Jackie met Thomas Whitfield in 1974 in the basement of Prayer Tabernacle Church when he mentioned he wanted to start his own Gospel choir. She joined the group one month after The Company’s first rehearsal in January, 1977. Jackie attended Eastern Michigan University and later Wayne State University focusing on Education. She was employed with the Oak Park school system for 23 years but changed her career and now works for Daimler Chrysler. Jackie is married to Minister Jerome Williams. Her ministry extends in sharing the word in exortation, conducting workshops, catering and wedding directing. Jackie currently serves as the President of the Whitfield Company.
Kenneth Jones

Kenney in addition to being a great tenor is a talented Musician/Arranger/Composer and Director for numerous choirs and local Detroit artists. His musical affiliations have included working with The Voices of Tabernacle, Charter member of Michael Mindingall’s Communion, Lacrecia Cambell, Evelyn Turrentine-Agee, Harold Turrentine, Mt. Calvary Baptist, Testimony & Praise, and The Salvation Army Harbor Light Mission. Kenny is currently the Minister of Music for Tabernacle of Judah and is the Music Director for the stage play “Praise Power” and the Salvation Army Bagley Center. Kenney is a graduate of Detroit’s Cass Technical High School. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He currently is employed SBC Communications as a Telecommunications Specialist. He and his wife Sherry have three children.

Michael is a very talented and anointed Singer, Musician, Director, and Recording Artist. He has received several awards for his musical achievements. Michael currently serves as the Minister of Music for Second Ebenezer Church and is the Founder and President of The Michael Fletcher Chorale. He has participated in various concert performances in the U.S. and abroad. Michael’s musical ability and knowledge has made him a much sought after Consultant for music workshops. Michael is a graduate of Detroit’s Northwestern High School and has attended Wayne County Community College. Michael’s priority has always been to God first and to the ministry of his music providing spiritual guidance to the member’s of his Music Department, church family and to all other musical affiliations for which he serves. As a part of his livelihood and his leadership role, he takes his ministry very seriously and continues to instill the importance of serving, dedication and loyalty, Bible Class, Tithes/Offering and concludes with studying the word of God. Michael Fletcher is the third of five children born to Mr. and Mrs. Willie Fletcher. Because of Michael’s kind spirit, loveable personality and mentorship ability, he has formed an extended family, which include sons, daughters, nieces and nephews. Although, Michael is known to be a private individual, his fun loving characteristics brings humor and laughter to many. He enjoys eating, traveling, bowling and shopping and considers each hobby a joyous occasion.

One of the newest members of The Company, Maurice has studied with James Tatum and the late Fredderick Sipes. He was also instrumentally taught by Victoria Miller. Maurice is a Food Service Manager and is currently pursuing certification in Computer Informatin Systems.

Nel is a Member of The Whitfield Company where she serves as basic photographer and assistant Treasurer. She previously served as TWC Treasurer and Board member for approximately 4 years. Nel is a board member of the New Birth Baptist Church Music Department in Inkster, Michigan and serves as one of the Choir Directors. She is a charter member of New Birth and has served as church secretary for the past 15 years under Pastor Joseph A. Stephens. Nel moved to Detroit from Flint, Michigan where she sang with The Gems and The Highlights Gospel Chorus of Macedonia Baptist Church. Nel attended Mott Community College and Wayne State University College of Lifelong Learning. She also attended Control Data Institute in Southfield, Michigan where she received a certificate in Computer Programming. Nel retired from Ameritech in November, 2000 after 30 years of service, where she was a Programmer/Analyst and Manager. Nel has been married since 1983 to husband, Leslie. She is the Mother of two, Ronald and Tamika Coleman, and Step-Mother to Kenneth. She feels that her greatest blessing in life, besides meeting Tommy and becoming a TWC member, was to be able to donate a kidney to her Daughter in 1995. To God we give the glory and all the praise. Her hobbies are singing, desk top publishing, photography and movies.

Pat’s musical affiliations have included The Beverly Glenn Chorale and the Together Concert Chorale. Pat’s melodious 1st. Soprano voice is a great part of The Whitfield sound. Pat is a graduate of Northern High School in Detroit. Her interests in addition to singing include sewing and nursing. Pat is the Mother of three and a Grandmother.

Phyllis is a former Board member of The Whitfield Company where she served as Vice-President for approximately 4 years. She also is a member of the Apparel Committee. Phyllis’ musical affiliations include the following: Attended The Detroit Conservatory of Music, member of the Detroit High Schools All City Honors Choir, Thomas Whitfield’s pop group Wyonjoa, The Tilis Butler Chorale, The Brazeal Dennard Concert Choir, and the Mighty Voices of Tabernacle where she served as President for many years. Phyllis is a graduate of Detroit’s Central High School, attended Western Michigan University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State University. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and retired in November, 2000 as Field Operations Manager with Michigan Bell/Ameritech after 29 years of service. Since retiring she is a Consultant specializing in Business and Management training. She is the Mother of two children William and TWC member Meredith.

Pearl is a soloist, songwriter, director, arranger, and praise team leader. More importantly she serves as an Associate Minister at Third New Hope Baptist Church. Pearl, originally from Chicago, is the former Minister of Music at New Mt. Sinai. Her vocal affiliations include The Thompson Community Singers, Love Holiness Singers and Tyrone Block & LSD. She has had roles in various plays including “ Don’t Get God Started” “ Gospel at Colonus” & “ Thunder In The House “. Pearl holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies.

Ralph Ron Garlington

Ron joined " The Company" during it's first year of inception. He previously was a member of The Voices of Heaven which included Vanessa Bell Armstrong. He also was a member of The Mighty Voices of Tabernacle under the directorship of the renowned “Craig Brothers”. Ron is a member of the Gospel Announcers Guild a Division of the Gospel Music Workshop of America. Ron holds a Bachelor's of Science degree and certificate in Broadcast Communications. He works at the Detroit Medical Center as Manager of Physician Relations. Ron's outside interests include video production and editing. He loves the outdoors, bowling and swimming.
Robert Majors

Robert has been a member of "The Company" since it’s inception. He grew up in the Pentacostal church. During his teens he joined his first outside singing group where he sang throughout the city of Detroit. This experience led him to Thomas Whitfield where he eventually joined the choir. Robert is a former Board member where he served as Vice-President for 4 years. Robert graduated from Murray Wright High School in Detroit and attended Oakland Community and Marygrove college. He has worked at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan for 25 years. Robert is an accomplished director and soloist at his church. He also serves as President of his church's adult choir.
Roxie A. Wilson

Roxie was raised in the Greater First Baptist Church, Pastored by the late Rev. J.J. Woods, where she sang in the junior choir. Roxie’s music affiliations have included the Voices of Love and Praise, the Northeast Detroit Community Choir, as well as playing piano for Jude Baptist Church and Leland Baptist Church. She currently is the musician for Trinity Episcopal and Faith Memorial churches. Her present membership is with the Leland Baptist Church, where she is the Director of Leland’s Liturgical Dance Ministry and Choir Director of the Messiah Choir. Roxie is a graduate of Detroit Central High School. She has attended Detroit Institute of Commerce and Elsa Cooper’s Academy of Court Reporting. She was employed by the Wayne County Probation Department for 21 years. She left that job in 1995 to work for the Parole Department as an Administrative Assistant for the Outer District Parole Office. Roxie has been married to Company member Leonard Wilson since 1977. She is the mother of three, Ta’Shanna, Leonard Jr., and Brandon and the Grandmother of two, Brian and Terrance. Roxie currently serves as Secretary for The Whitfield Company.
Sharon D. Adams

One of the newest Whitfield Company members, Sharon has dedicated her life to lifting her voice to magnify the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Sharon has been singing since the age of 9 yrs. She is a well known sought after vocalist by various churches. Sharon’s musical affiliations include the following: The Alexander Gospel Specials, The Duane Grant Celestial Chorus, Bishop Andre Woods and Chosen, The Gospel Chorus and Mass Choir of Eastlake Baptist Church. Sharon has been a faithful member of Eastlake for the past 35 years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Secondary Education with a specialty in learning disabilities. She also holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. She has been employed with the Detroit Board of Education for 19 years. She is also a member of Phi Delta Kappa Sorority. When not expressing her gift of singing Sharon enjoys decorating, cooking and traveling. Sharon is the proud mother of one adopted son, William Michael.
Scott Bard-Mansur

Scott has performed vocals with such recording artists as Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Earth Wind and Fire, Stephanie Mills, Jennifer Holiday, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Tramaine Hawkins, Daryl Coley, Shirley Murdock and many others. Scott is a counter tenor with a 3.5 octave voice range. As a result of an undying love for the beauty of music, Scott began his formal music training at the young age of eight singing and studying piano. At the age of 12 he began studying the alto saxophone. Subsequently, while attending Northwestern High School in Flint, Michigan, he was accepted to Interlochen Arts Academy in Travis City, Michigan, where he represented Michigan in a National all-states choir. He went on to attend Grambling State and Kentucky State Universities as a member of their respective Concert Choirs majoring in Vocal / Instrumental Music Education and Performance. In 1985 he was recognized as one of the "Outstanding Young Men of America". Scott comes from a long lineage of accomplished musicians that include recording artist Chaka Kahn (Yvette Stevens), recording artist Felecia Coleman-Evans, Gordon Strozier of the "Ready for the World" group, and the late internationally renowned opera singer, Georgia Laster. Recently he toured with Vickie Winans gospel music stage play "Torn Between Two Loves" working in the capacity of Wardrobe Master. Over the past 18 years he continues to serve as wardrobe consultant for The Aretha Franklin Orchestra, Ms. Ann Nesby, and is the owner of Mansur Boutique and Exclusive Millinery. Scott is a native of Flint, Michigan and a member of Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church where Marvin A. Jennings is the pastor serving as a director and soloist. Scott currently serves as 2nd. Vice-President of The Whitfield Company.
Sandra Hudson

Sandy has participated in or has lent her melodious voice to the following: Perilous Times Play, Vocalist for Al Green,Milton Bingham,Oleta Adams,and the Crusade Team for Bishop G.E. Patterson. Sandy also was the musician for the Youth Choir of Bountiful Blessings and the Woodhaven Baptist Association. Sandy is a former Board Member and is a much sought after soloist. Sandy attended Richland and Millikin Community Colleges in Decatur, Illinois. She has also taught voice lessons at Clark Conservatory of Detroit. She is currently employed as a Customer Service Administrative Assistant at FedEx.

Taryn has dedicated her entire life to lifting her voice to exalt the name of the Lord. Growing up the Daughter of a Quartet Singer, Taryn has been surrounded by music the majority of her life. As a child she also studied the piano. Taryn is a graduate of Highland Park High School and Highland Park Community College of Highland Park, Michigan. Taryn joined The Company during the first year of its inception. After 28 years she is still a vital part of the Whitfield family. Today Taryn serves as the Director of Music for Third New Hope Church. In 2003, Taryn had the honor of directing the 750 voice mass choir of the National Baptist Convention during its convention in Detroit. Taryn is the Mother of two Daughters Rochelle and Armani. Taryn has worked for SBC Communications for 28 years as a Customer Service Representative.
Valerie Hancox

Val has been a member of TWC since it’s inception. Because of her vocal talents as a strong Alto singer, she has participated in several projects providing background vocals for the following: Yolanda Adams, Keith Pringle, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Michael Bolton and T.J. Hemphill's production of " Perilous Times ". She is the former Director for the New Bethel Baptist Church Youth Choir, and served as a Musician for the Greenfield Ave. Church. Val is a graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Sociology. She presently is a Doctoral candidate in Sociology specializing in research methods including Statistics with a concentration in African American Families & Urban Planning Policy. She has received several awards & scholarships for excellence in academic achievement. Despite her busy schedule Val finds it rewarding serving at her local church. She is an avid reader and enjoys playing various puzzles and games. She is also currently writing a musical stage play. Val currently serves as 1st. Vice-President of The Whitfield Company.
Kevin Dunigan

Kevin’s ability in playing the organ, in additon to singing, is attributed to his formal training in piano. Kevin started playing for various churches and vocal groups at the age of 12 years. Born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Kevin graduated from Kalamazoo’s Central High School. After graduation he workd for the Upjohn Company before moving to Detroit. Kevin’s musical affiliations have included the Musician for Second Baptist Church of Kalamazoo, Mt. Zion Baptist Majestic Choir, Third New Hope Baptist Church, Second Caanan Baptist, and the Young Gospel Singers. He currently serves as the Minister of Music for Little Rock Baptist Church. Kevin has been employed by SBC Communications for the past 13 years.
Larry Edwards

Larry has been a member of "The Company" since it’s inception. Larry is a musician and much sought after soloist. Larry studied piano and organ under the direction of Professor Keith Minor. His melodious, rich tenor voice has been heard on such Whitfield favorites as “ His Eye Is On The Sparrow”, “Wrapped, Up, Tied Up, Tangled Up In Jesus” and “Hear Our Prayer”. Larry’s other musical affiliations have included the following: Minister of Music for Progressive MBC, Greater Faith Cathedral, and New Creation Christian Church; Musical Choir Director for Earth, Wind & Fire’s “ We Can Touch The World” tour; Background vocals for Vanna Bell Armstrong, Yolanda Adams, Daryl Coley, Lynnette Hawkins, and Thomas Whitfield’s solo projects. Larry currently serves as the Praise & Worship leader at Triumph Baptist Church. He is a graduate of Detroit’s Central High School and holds an Associates degree in Marketing from Detroit Business Institute. Larry is married to Gail Edwards and is the Father of five children.
